Who we are

KeptPact is operated by Renteble Private Limited. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, Renteble Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary for the data described below. Write to info@renteble.com about anything on this page.

What we collect today

If you join the waitlist we store your email address. We use it for one thing: to tell you when the product opens. We do not sell it, share it, or add you to a marketing programme.

This website also uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets a cookie and records your approximate location, device and the pages you view. Your IP address is anonymised before it reaches Google.

We have switched off Google's advertising features. Nothing here is used to build an advertising profile or to retarget you, and we do not run ads.

Analytics only runs if you accept it. Until you choose, and permanently if you decline, nothing is requested from Google, no cookie is set and no visit is recorded. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and the choice will be offered again.

Removing yourself

Write to info@renteble.com and we will delete your address from the waitlist. Not flag it, not suppress it: the row is removed. We will confirm when it is done.

What the product will collect

When the application launches it will hold the financial records you enter: expenses, income, contributions, balances, and any documents you attach. It will also hold your account details (name, phone number, email) and the groups you belong to.

Who can see it

Your personal finances are visible to no other user.Not the people you share groups with, not the admin of a group you have joined, and not our staff. No role in the product grants access to another person's personal ledger.

Activity inside a group is visible to that group's members, because a shared ledger only works if everyone can verify it. A group role grants visibility into that group and nothing further.

Money

We never hold, move or process money. We do not ask for card details or bank credentials in order to record your finances.

Changing and deleting your data

You can export your own data at any time.

Deletion is more complicated than it sounds, and we would rather explain why than be vague. Financial records inside a group are shared. Other members rely on them to verify their own balances, and a ledger with pieces removed is not a ledger.

So when you ask us to delete your data, we remove you: your name, phone number and email address. Entries you made in a group stay, attributed to a former member, so nobody else's balance silently changes. Your personal ledger, which no one else can see, is deleted outright.

If you still have money outstanding we will tell you before you go, so you can settle first if you want to. We will not refuse the request. Your right to leave does not depend on someone else paying up.

Where your data is kept

Our servers are in India. The records we hold, your waitlist address today and your financial records once the product exists, are stored there.

One exception, and we would rather name it than let you assume otherwise: Google Analytics does not run in India. If you accept analytics, Google processes that visit data on its own infrastructure outside the country. Nothing you enter into the product goes to Google. If you decline, nothing is sent at all.

Support access

In rare cases our support staff may need to view a group to help resolve a problem. That access is time-limited, recorded, andyou are notified. Support staff can never write to, confirm or alter a financial record.
